2 much txting hurts đ
August 20, 2012Dr. Wayne Johnson leaned back in his leather office chair, picked up his iPhone and talked out a text. Thatâs right â he talked, not typed. Using a voice command software, Johnson pressed one button then spoke to his phone like he was talking to a friend. His message was dictated perfectly, sent instantly and it all took half the time as punching it out letterby-letter. But Johnson knows even Siri canât replace the convenience of texting the old-fashioned way. Â Â âIf youâre in class you can text. You canât talk on the phone,â said Johnson, an orthopaedic surgeon at Premier Orthopaedics of Lawton. âItâs the same thing in a workplace, or if youâre in a meeting.â Â Â But convenience sometimes comes at a cost.
